New classroom, new crew!

We're off to a great start! We've had fun playing get-to-know-you games, learning new things on our netbooks, and making new friends. It's already looking like a fantastic year. :)

First Day Celebration!

Our Class - We've got one more friend coming next week, though, so we'll have to take another!!

No problems being silly...

4th graders already hard at work.

Reading Challenge Kick-Off!

Our Lower School has been challenged to read 150,000 minutes by April 26th! If we reach this goal, our lower school head will spend the day working on the roof! Our class set a goal of 30,000 minutes. Today we kicked off the reading challenge by bringing a pillow or snugly to school and relaxing in our beautiful library to read!

Separating Mixtures

In our study of elements, we are learning about mixtures and compounds. In a fun lab with Mrs. Deeley, we explored the many ways to separate items in a mixture. We learned about magnetism, filters, solubility... This lab was fun because we got to figure out for ourselves how to separate the sawdust, sand, salt, and iron filings in our mixtures.
